Alan Moon

Chief Executive Officer

Alan Moon is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of QualX Corporation.  Under his leadership, QualX is organized to support the federal sector in information management, information technology, business processes, workforce development, and policy and strategic program development and operations. His 40-year career has been focused on leadership and the creation, development and management of organizations, programs, plans, and policies.

Prior to founding QualX, Mr. Moon served as the Vice President of Information Management for McNeil Technologies where he managed 460 analysts responsible for a full spectrum of information management and program management services.  In this capacity, Mr. Moon directed programs in support of the Departments of State, Defense, Treasury, Education, Labor, and Homeland Security.

Before joining McNeil, he worked as a program manager for SRA International where he provided program leadership for Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Headquarters Department of the Army.  In this capacity, he provided expertise on national-level security policy and strategy to formulate program development, establish plans and procedures, and develop Department of Defense-level COOP training exercises.

Mr. Moon is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 31 years of service and is a graduate of the National War College with a Masters-level degree in National Strategy and International Affairs.  He also attended the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College, receiving a Master of Arts in Military Science

Alan B. Moon, Jr. (AJ)

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

AJ Moon joined QualX Corporation in August of 2009, bringing over 18 years of corporate support and management experience to the team. His responsibilities encompass all corporate support functions – HR, Security, Facilities, IT, Business Development, and Operations. As a certified Project Management Professional, he is the architect of QualX’s corporate support structure growth from 5 employees in 2009 to 250 employees today. As managing director and owner at Moon Custom Homes, AJ directed and coordinated corporate goals, plans, marketing, and coordination for the construction of large-scale executive level homes.  In this role, he coordinated business development, operations, and project management across all business operational functions. As such, he coordinated all phases of construction from architectural design and engineering to finish out. And led teams of subcontractors through the construction process to project completion.
